From the river Drau, this beautiful tour leads 34 km through the impressive mountain world to the border between Carinthia and Tyrol.

At Oberdrauburg on the B 100, cross the river and continue straight ahead parallel to it towards Oberpirkach. Here you will find the entry point to the gravel road at a wooden gate. It is a single track uphill through the forest, with some steep sections along the winding route. The track is deeply graveled in some places. The path winds narrowly along steep rock faces. You pass through a crevice and soon reach a clearing with a few houses. The end point of the tour is the Hochstadelhaus. The family-run hut invites you to take a break with delicious food. The location is perfect and offers wonderful panoramic views of the Drau Valley and the many peaks. Back at the starting point, we recommend a trip to tranquil Oerdrauburg with its attractive market square and cozy cafés and inns.
