This beautiful 18 km tour through the mountains of Piedmont begins at Prato Nevoso on the SP 237 and ends at Frabosa Soprana on the SP 183.

The route starts at the ski resort of Prato Nevoso. Initially, it follows a small paved track before transitioning to gravel and slightly rocky sections, climbing over grassy areas to the Rifugio Balma. This mountain hut offers traditional local food and drinks—a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
From here, the route continues along a spur, passing an alpine hut that sells cheese, and leads to the stunning Lago Scalette, a mountain lake surrounded by pastures and equipped with a picnic area.
After the spur, the wide, dusty track descends with breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and the village below, rejoining the road near Prato Nevoso. Across the road, the bumpy track resumes, descending further with sections featuring erosion.
The final stretch passes through a forest, crosses a small bridge, and runs by some ruins before ending at the quaint stone chapel of San Bartolomeo.
