Passo di Lusia

In beautiful Trentino near Bellamonte on the SS 50, the route goes up into the Dolomites to the Lusia Pass between the Travignolo and San Pellegrino valleys. The 9 km long tour is absolutely recommendable in terms of landscape.
From the entry point on the SS 50, the first part of the route leads along the Via de Lusia to the pass of the same name. The gravel road begins after a few hundred meters, at the end of the last residential buildings. First it goes uphill over a wide, gravel track. Passing beautiful meadows with isolated conifers, you reach the Rifugio Lusia. The perfect place to stop for a bite to eat in the rustic hut, surrounded by the impressive alpine nature. A fantastic view of the valleys and the imposing peaks of the Dolomites awaits you. From the pass we go downhill through a forest, past the Rifugio Larezila. From the pass we go downhill through a forest, past the Rifugio Larezilla. Some steep sections follow. In the last section, we join the SS 346 at the Rio San Pellegrino on a small tarmac road. The tour ends not far from Moena and Passo San Pellegrino. A detour to the small Lago Di San Pellegrino and the pass is a good idea at the end of this tour.
