Monte Paularo

The tour to Monte Paularo leads one way 12 km through the beautiful alpine landscape of Friuli. The starting point is the village of Ligosullo on the SP 24. 

From Ligosullo, the route first goes uphill on a small tarmac road. You reach a plateau and pass individual houses. Following the small narrow winding road, which is partly bordered by walls, you reach the beginning of the steep gravel road. The ground of the track is deeply gravelled in some places. Further up, it goes through sharp hairpin bends. Past waterfalls and small springs, as well as Lago Dimon, the track, secured with crash barriers, winds along mountain slopes. Small houses with cattle sheds lie along the way. Once you arrive at Monte Paularo, you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the beautiful nature. The summit can be reached via a small hiking trail and is rewarded with wide panoramic views.
