At kilometer 2.7, keep to the right; the left is a dead end and leads to a construction site… rejoins the marked trail about 500 meters later…
Sierra de Salás
The valley of the Noguera Ribagorcana is also the starting point for a harmonious off-road trip over the Sierra de Salás, whose peaks rise up to 1,480 meters into the sky. A neat, wide track runs the length of the route and often runs along the steep slope with wonderful views. The starting point is the hamlet of Orrit opposite Arén. The track gradually climbs up in curves and is always wide enough for large expedition vehicles. The higher it climbs, the more beautiful the views, in some places reaching as far as the Pyrenees.
Then the route winds along a mountain ridge at an altitude of around 1,300 meters. There are also fantastic views of the Pyrenean peaks. At an altitude of around 1,000 meters, the abandoned village of Claramunt can be seen. Once built on an exposed hill, it is falling apart more and more. Five kilometers later, the track meets asphalt. The last stretch down to Tremp is a delight for riders of powerful enduros – there are so many curves and bends on the approximately 15-kilometer stretch that it makes you dizzy.
