East of the town of Barruera, on the L-500 road in the valley of the Naguera de Tor river, the Collada de la Llobarcana towers into the sky. It is a 2,018 meter high mountain that can be reached via a harmonious off-road tour. The start is not bad - a three-kilometer-long serpentine road winds in sharp bends from 1,100 to 1,400 meters up to the town of Durro. A feast for lovers of fast tires.

Once at the top, we go around Durro once, then turn left at the next fork onto a gravel road. This winds slowly but surely into the mountains. There are almost no trees, so there are constantly beautiful views of the valley and over the mountains. After three and a half kilometers there is another fork, this time we take the right path.

The region is used for agriculture, as evidenced by the numerous meadows, pastures and herds of cows. It is no wonder that along the way you have to open and close a gate again and again. The "highlight" is a plateau at 2,043 metres with a great view over the mountain peaks and across to the Taüll ski area. After that, a series of harmless bends take us back down to the second fork, from where we return to Durro on the same route.
