Cami de la Cabroa
It is not particularly high, just scraping the 1,320-meter mark - the off-road track from Vilanova de Meià in the valley of the Riu Boix heading west into the valley of the Palaresa to Figuerola de Meià. It is also not particularly demanding in terms of driving technique. So what is so special about this route that you should definitely not miss it? Answer: the spectacular section carved into the vertical rock called Cami de la Cabroa.
It starts about two kilometers north of Vilanova de Meià. The wide, harmless gravel track winds steadily up the mountain between fruit and olive plantations. The vermilion color of the rocks is impressive. After passing a hut made of red natural stone, the section in question along the edge of the abyss awaits you after just under a kilometer. Side protection - more symbolic. Deep views - magnificent. Wide views - fantastic. This feast for the eyes is almost five kilometers long. And really only for those who don't suffer from vertigo.
After that it's all downhill. Wide track, fine gravel, green landscape. The asphalt begins at the hamlet of Figuerola de Meià, and shortly afterwards you reach the Palaresa valley.
