Track to Villarijo

Also suitable for four-wheel drive trucks is the track that leads from San Pedro Manrique in a northeasterly direction above the Rio Linares through vast forest areas to the ghost village of Villarijo. Fine gravel, occasionally a little rougher, wide roadway. Overall, easy going. 

The start is about four kilometers east of San Pedro. Turn right and the track is ours. It follows the curves of the mountainside, which resembles a gigantic curtain of folds. Below the path you can see several settlements, some of which are still inhabited. If you want to visit them, you have to take a short walk. Finally, the track curves down the slope to Villarijo. You can see that the village was still inhabited not so long ago - the remains of civilization lie and stand everywhere. OK, that's it. Turn the vehicle around and drive the same route back to San Pedro.
