People have lived in Enciso since the early Middle Ages. Another species of creatures did so here 120 million years ago - dinosaurs. At that time, what is now Spain was a warm, humid swamp. Their footprints were perfectly preserved in this, which led to over 1,100 footprints, scratches and claw marks being found at no less than 130 sites in the area around the town. So what could be more natural than bringing two dinosaur species together on an off-road tour - dinosaurs and four-wheel drive trucks. This route is also ideal for heavy vehicles.

Start in Munilla above Enciso. The gravel road winds uphill in beautiful bends and soon comes across the first dinosaur tracks in a landscaped dinosaur park. Be sure to stop and take a look - it's worth it. Then it goes along a mountain ridge towards the ghost village of La Santa. A very beautiful stretch follows on a maintenance path for wind turbines, with the Nido Cuervo towering on the left. Then the long approach begins down into the valley to San Romàn de Cameros, where we are back on the asphalt.
