Short but intense – that is the best way to describe the drive up to Coll de Vent. Rough gravel, transverse gullies, longitudinal furrows and hairpin bends provide plenty of driving fun and thrills. Without proper off-road experience and a suitable vehicle with four-wheel drive and high ground clearance, you should probably avoid the venture. As an enduro rider, you have to be able to drive a tight hairpin bend safely, otherwise you risk falling over and contacting your insurance at home.

It starts in the valley of the Noguera Ribagorcana river. Coming from Puente de Montagñana, a track branches off to the left after about eleven kilometers before the town of Arén. It is a bit rough, but all in all, it is in good shape. It quickly climbs the side of the river valley and reaches the hamlet of Cajigar at 1,020 meters. Turn right there. Now it gets interesting in terms of driving technique. Stone steps, furrows and rough rubble require safe vehicle control. The route continues steadily uphill until you reach the Coll de Vent at an altitude of 1,254 metres in front of the steep rock face of the Tozal de los Moros. If you haven't had enough yet, you can drive a little further up to a refuge from there.

The following descent into the valley of the Rio Isàbena is really exciting. This is because you have to overcome four extremely steep and sharp serpentines. The turning circle has to be right, otherwise you have to back off carefully. After around three kilometres you reach the hamlet of Riguala de Serraduy, where you go all the way down into the valley on asphalt. Riguala de Serraduy erreicht, wo es auf Asphalt vollends hinab ins Tal geht.

Unfortunately, about three-quarters of the trail has been paved :( It only gets a bit more adventurous after "Aussichtspunkt" toward the end of the trail. The view there is beautiful
