Collet de Sant Martí
Rupit, the picturesque mountain village, is, as we have seen, not only good for relaxed, nice off-road tours, but also for a real off-road adventure. However, it is only recommended when driving an off-road vehicle or a light enduro. Anything else is torture.
Let's get started: From Rupit, take the BV-5208 to the southwest, turn left about three kilometers later at a junction onto a gravel track and do the same about two kilometers further below the rock face of the Agullola Grossa. Now you are on the off-road route, which initially leads downhill for a bit. The surface is bumpy, full of holes, furrowed and lined with overhanging bushes and trees. Pure off-road fun, but only with a light, off-road vehicle. Large four-wheelers and travel enduros will probably have a hard time here. Once you reach the valley, you ford a stream, drive uphill for a while and then cross the next ford. If you want to stretch your legs, a short walk takes you from here up to the ruins of a castle.
The forest now retreats and the route reveals beautiful views over red rocks and grey mountains. The track is much friendlier and the pace increases. It climbs steadily and goes through exciting bends again and again. That's what makes it fun. Unfortunately, the 800-metre-high Collet de Sant Martí and the mountain village of the same name are reached far too quickly, where the asphalt begins down into the Ter valley.
