The town of Torelló, with a population of 14,000, is located at the confluence of the Ter and Ges rivers at an altitude of 820 meters. All around, there are plenty of hiking trails and footpaths waiting for adventurous vacationers. The good news for us off-roaders: There are also plenty of gravel paths. If combined correctly, they can be used to create great off-road tours. For example, the tour to the Collet Sant Julia.

To do this, turn right from the BV-5224 between Sant Pere de Torellò and Sant Esteve d’en Bas after about ten kilometers and you are already on the gravel track leading to the Collet Sant Julia. The track gradually gains altitude in a well-maintained manner and after about seven kilometers it reaches the Collet de Sant Julia. It is 995 meters high, and a short footpath leads up to the summit.

The track now circles along a mountain ridge, offering us magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and continuously losing altitude. For about three kilometers it follows the motorway closely, changing sides every now and then, and finally crosses the state-owned asphalt for the last time. Then it crosses the river Ges and meets the BV-5228 road. Turn left and shortly afterwards you reach Torellò.
