On the ridge to the Yesa-Reservoir
Between the Onsella valley and the Rio Regal valley, a mountain ridge rises that not only offers impressive views, but also treats us off-roaders to a tough off-road adventure. From the end of the route, it is not far to the enchanting Yesa reservoir. All in all, a tour that satisfies both the thirst for adventure and the desire for beauty.
It starts in Isuerre, which is about eight kilometers east of Navardùn. Immediately behind the village, the off-road fun begins in the form of numerous serpentines that wind up the steep slope. The tires plow over rough rubble, through transverse gullies and longitudinal furrows. You need to drive with foresight. The path gets narrower and narrower as it goes and not really better, but rather worse. Nothing works here without a reasonable ground clearance; in the saddle of a heavy travel enduro, you should have a lot of off-road experience.
Once you reach the ridge, the situation relaxes a bit. At a more or less constant height, the track curves through the typical Mediterranean vegetation of tall holm oaks and low kermes oaks and offers beautiful views over the wooded hills. A chapel is located at the side of the road with enough space around it for a break or an overnight stay. At the end, the track goes all out again and serves us an exciting cocktail of rough stones, loose rubble and gullies and furrows of all widths and depths. Finally, we reach asphalt and can now either turn right to the reservoir or left to Urriés.
