To the west and east of the Rio Gállego, two rock formations, each several hundred meters high, rise as if from nowhere - the Mallos de Riglos in the east and the Mallos de Agüero in the west. They were created by the earth's history because they defied the millions of years of erosion of the surrounding rock. The slightly reddish rocks are now a popular destination for climbers and are constantly flown around by birds.

If you follow the course of the Rio Gállego from the north, you first see the Mallos de Riglos on your left. Shortly afterwards, turn right behind Murillo de Gállego and after five kilometers you reach the town of Agüero, picturesquely situated in front of the rock formation of the same name. The stop there is worth it because of Agüero's pretty old town. You should be a good walker when strolling, as Agüero's streets consist almost entirely of stairs.

The off-road part of this visually impressive tour starts at the edge of the town. A comfortable gravel road winds its way around the Mallos de Agüeros and the spectacular view takes visitors' breath away. After about five kilometers, the road gradually climbs, becomes narrower and rougher and presents us with some tough switchbacks and various ruts. At 950 meters above sea level, it ends - the sign prohibiting further travel is clear. A mountain ridge reveals another great view of the Mallos, then it's time to head back to Agüeros.
