The starting point for this piste is the town of Rateče in the border triangle of Slovenia, Italy and Austria, located on road 202 in the impressive Karawanks. Peč or Monte Forno forms the intersection of the borders of the three countries. According to our information, it can only be reached from the Slovenian side of Rateče. Very beautiful, sometimes quite narrow and confusing piste, in some places partly coarse gravel. Especially at weekends there are often hikers and cyclists on the road, please be considerate! The summit of Peč stands at an altitude of 1508 meters and is known in Austria as the "border triangle". On the summit plateau there are transmission towers, memorials and a relief that shows the imposing mountains of the south. From here there is a panoramic view that is impressive. A ski resort is located below the summit on the Austrian side. On the Slovenian side there is the cozy hut "Planinski Dom Tromeja" ready for a stop. It is located about 350 meters below the summit.

Tried to drive up on 31.7.25. At the end of Ratece there is a very new sign (probably erected this year) that prohibits passage from June 1 to October 15 except for residents. As there were a lot of mountain bikers on the road, we were happy to do without a driveway.
