To the peak of the Smrekovec
The highlight of this off-road tour in northern Slovenia leads to Mount Smrekovec, a volcanic mountain on the eastern edge of the Smrekovo Mountains. On the grassy summit there is a pyramid and a viewing platform from which you can enjoy a magnificent view. The summit (1577m) can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes via the Dom na Smrekovcu mountain hut (1377m).
The majority of the tour, especially the second part of the route with hairpin bends and great curves, leads through forest. The narrow gravel roads are easy to drive on.
The start of this tour is behind the scattered settlement of Bele Vode. The tarmac ends behind the houses and the gravel road begins. It goes uphill, the route is partially secured with walls and guard rails.
After a short while, take the turnoff to the right to the Dom na Smer¬kovcu mountain hut. If you don't want to hike to the summit, you should definitely take a break here and treat yourself to some regional food. Back at the turnoff, turn right and drive downhill to the end of this slope.

Road closed for 2 km
The road is closed shortly after the start due to roadwork. Another road is also closed to reach the starting point.
A fairly easy route for a red-marked tour. Well-gravelled track without any washouts and no major potholes. Could also be more of a blue trail. However, the view is very beautiful, especially if you take 20-25 minutes to reach the summit
