Mali Homec
The Mali Homec is part of a historic connecting road that once connected Kobarid in the southern Soča Valley and Bovec in the northern part. Little of this road remains today, as nature has reclaimed the northern ramp and it is therefore no longer passable.
The only possible access is now from Kobarid. From here the road leads over the Napoleon Bridge and immediately uphill. Initially the route consists of a mixture of old road surface and gravel. However, the condition of the road soon changes. As the altitude increases, the old surface gives way to coarse gravel. Caution is required on the upper section of the route, as larger stones can occasionally be found on the path. There are also some deep water ruts that are not always visible in time, so special caution is required here too. The Mali Homec pass stretches across a plateau in a scenic setting between the peaks of Krasji vrh (1773 m) and the northwestern foothills of Krn (2244 m).

We saw quite a few locals out and about over the weekend. Other than that, no comments
A short but scenic route.
Great for beginners, too.
Mostly concrete slabs, with some gravel and coarse gravel in places.
Easily manageable with a 6-meter 4x4 Sprinter. It gets difficult and tight with larger vehicles.
Be sure to visit the open-air museum (trenches/bunkers) at the end, which is free to explore.
A short and very easy piste. There are very few to no large stones or holes. Very suitable for beginners. Not suitable for trucks.
A really nice gravel road! Perfect for 4x4 beginners. Locals drive up in regular cars! I wouldn't recommend that, though! At the end, there's a very impressive bunker complex (from WWI) to visit.
