Rolling along relaxed on fine gravel, surrounded by dark forest, letting your thoughts run free, letting your soul unwind - where else can you still do that today? Answer: In Slovenian Inner Carniola, east of Cernica.

On road no. 212 between Cernica and Sodražica, about halfway in the town of Nova vas, there is a turnoff towards Fara and Metulje. Please follow this. The asphalt initially goes uphill for about three kilometers, then a gravel track branches off to the right on a wide alpine meadow. Please follow. Wide, well-maintained and easy to drive on, it winds in long curves through dense deciduous and coniferous forest. Small clearings open up every now and then and provide rays of light in the truest sense of the word. There are often wooden benches and tables on these clearings, inviting you to have a picnic - an idyll.

Continue on the fine gravel of the forest track. Trees whiz by to the left and right, and you get into a real flow. Unfortunately, it's over far too quickly, as the track ends in the town of Knežja Njiva. At the junction with road no. 746, turn right and after one kilometer you've reached your destination, Markovec.
