Rudnig Alm
!!! Attention: Ban on motorcycles and quads according to community report (as of July 2024).
This 27 km tour leads up to the popular Rudnig Alm. The route passes through partly unspoilt forest and takes you to two beautiful alpine pastures. You can enjoy fabulous views throughout the entire route in this magnificent mountain world.
From the B 111 near Jenig, take the B 90 to Tröpolach, the starting point of the tour. First, you follow a tarmac road through the village to its end, where you will find a gondola station. From here, the route continues on gravel through lush alpine meadows and then a short way through the forest. The path crosses cattle grids and leads along cow pastures through clearings. The first detour takes you along the slope to the Tröpolacher Alm, with a small lake in a dreamlike setting. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area around the hut. The flat path to the Rudnig Alm leads under two cable cars. Once you reach your destination, you will once again be captivated by the fantastic Alpine panorama. You can see the striking rocks of the Rosskofel and Trogkofel peaks and the beautiful alpine meadows. The same route leads back down to the valley.
