Reißkofel

A relaxed 20 km tour leads through a forest area up to the Jochalm Reisach in the magnificent mountains of Carinthia. The unrivalled view from the plateau stretches as far as Italy and Slovenia.

From Reisach on the B 111, the route initially follows a tarmac road, which is in poor condition in places. Follow the narrow road through the forest. After passing a hotel, continue on a gravel track, cross a ford and follow the wide path uphill through a series of hairpin bends. Once you reach a clearing, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Reißkofel massif. The last section offers panoramic views of the mountains and lush meadows with grazing cows as you head towards the Jochalm. Here you can enjoy delicious food in a great atmosphere and relax with fantastic views. The same route leads downhill to Reisach in the Gaital valley.
