The average height is 1,500 meters, there is a constant strong to very strong wind, and the average temperature throughout the year is 5 degrees. At least plus. No wonder that the Krnovo Plateau is popularly known as the "Montenegrin Tibet". It rises around 20 kilometers northeast of Ničsić and is sparsely populated even by Montenegro standards - a few hamlets are scattered across the barren landscape, whose inhabitants mostly raise sheep or farm. Fat grass grows on the pastures, which gives the milk from the Krnovo Plateau its excellent taste.
By the way: the producers of renewable energy up here have also acquired a taste for it. The Masdar company, part of a group of companies from the United Emirates, built 26 wind turbines on the Krnovo Plateau that supply 48,000 households with electricity. Thanks to the high wind speed, which is constantly between 5.5 and 6.5 meters per second. That's about 20 kilometers per hour.
You can't go any faster if you cross the plateau by motorbike or car. And that's a good thing. Because you should really concentrate on the incredible peace and isolation up here. Give your mind and body a break.
You can reach the plateau from Ničsić by following the signs to the Vučje ski area. The off-road section begins behind the station, which mostly takes place on fairly wide slopes made of medium and coarse gravel. There is a slight climb now and then, a small descent, but that's all you can expect. Behind the hamlet of Ćeranića gora, the off-road route ends at a small asphalt road. Turning right takes you to the M 6 and then on to Šavnik.

Another scenic highlight; in my opinion, it’s rightly classified as ‘easy’ in terms of riding difficulty.
