This wind turbine tour with a dream view of the Mediterranean island of Krk is located in the mountainous coastal region. From the beautiful coastal road E 65 you reach Podbilo, the starting point of the 12 km long route.
The entry point is on the 5110. The single-lane, wide gravel road is easy to drive on. The plateau is characterized by bare, rocky landscape. The wind is noticeable in the almost treeless plateau. You follow the path downhill, slightly bumpy sections have to be overcome. The almost treeless surroundings allow wonderful views throughout the tour. For example of the slopes and peaks with the wind turbines and the shimmering blue sea. The last section leads over a hill. After a small forest, the route ends at a tarmac road near Vratarusa. The winding road takes you down to the coast to Senj. The typical coastal town is the oldest on the Adriatic and invites you to linger in the old town with its beautiful harbor.

Unfortunately, the middle section of the route has recently been repaved because many wind turbines are being built in the area. It can certainly be navigated with a bit of a sense of adventure :) Otherwise, it’s very beautiful, especially when combined with the Kvarner Bay tour!
