scenic and easy to navigate

Zrmanja loop
This trail is quite challenging and leads through remote farmland through a high valley.
First tarred, then well gravelled, it leads to an old, half-ruined farmstead. After that, the trail becomes narrower and much more demanding. The next stage has deep gravel, loose rubble and boulders as well as bare rock. A few washouts complete the challenges.
In the middle of this deserted area there is a cattle farm, so you can expect to see animals on the trail. The passage through the farmstead is narrow and earthy, but can be bypassed to the north. Down to the main road there are a few more bends with deep gravel and washouts.
Community Report August 2024: Coming from the D1 junction, after about 5 kilometers, the route runs through a farm... a pasture fence prevents further travel. The optional detour is blocked by a tree trunk lying across it.
Editor's note: The route has been changed; the farm is bypassed to the north.
