Kruscicko Jezero

This 13 km tour leads along part of Lake Kruscica. Through beautiful idyllic landscape and peaceful nature, surrounded by the hills of the Croatian coastal area.

From a tarmac road you turn off towards Vaganac and after the last houses in the village you reach a gravel road. You drive uphill in curves on a track peppered with rain holes, past shrubs and bushes. Continuing along the route, along imposing rocks, you look down from the slope at the shimmering green lake. Then you go through the forest, the landscape flattens out and the shore of the beautiful lake opens up. Sandbanks and individual trees surround the lake shore. There are great viewpoints on the route above the lake. It is worth stopping here and enjoying the peace and quiet in the overwhelming beauty of nature. In the last part you go downhill through dense forest to the end point of the tour. Here the gravel road leads onto a narrow tarmac road. Near Kosinj there is an interesting viewpoint, “Kosinjski vidikovac“. A spiral staircase leads to the round viewing platform, from which you can enjoy fantastic views over the narrow valley.
