The beautiful island, surrounded by an old defensive wall, with its beautiful beaches and fairytale forests is worth a trip. This tour takes you 10 km north of Rab through the forest to a high plateau and, as a highlight, past an impressive quarry. Fantastic views of the Croatian island world characterize the tour.

It starts near the popular town of Supetarska Draga. On a tarmac road bordered by stone walls, you first pass individual houses. Then a very narrow, dilapidated tarmac road leads uphill into the forest. It meets a gravel track with a partially sandy surface and peppered with rough stones. On the high plateau you can enjoy the fantastic view of the coastline. Rolling downhill on the wide, hard-packed track you get back to the D 105. You follow it for a while. A stop is recommended at a car park with wonderful bathing bays with turquoise blue water. In the second part of the tour, a winding section leads along a dusty track through an impressive quarry. Sheep graze under the bony trees at the side of the road. Here the track is more coarsely gravelled. In the northern part of the island, the route ends in the forest. After the trip, you can take a detour to the island's wonderful bathing bays.

Closure or obstruction

The last section of the route is impassable because the road leads into a landfill site that is blocked by a gate.
