A very nice track, and not particularly challenging to ride up to the village of Ivanje. I didn’t ride the section from the village of Ivanje to the sea, but it looked challenging. However, there is a sign at the starting point in Sveti Petar prohibiting motorcycles. I rode the route in the opposite direction, though, and at the start on the D100 (or the end of the track), there was no such sign, or at least I didn’t notice one.
In the north of the island of Cres
The beautiful island of Cres in the Kvarner Bay lies off the Istrian peninsula. The 22 km long tour leads through a dense forest area to the north of the island. On a mountain ridge, it goes steeply downhill and uphill in places.
From the Porozina ferry port, you can take the island road 100 to Sveti Petar, the starting point of the tour. In the first section, the gravel road leads through the dense forest. Then you cross a clearing. The tour continues, wonderfully protected by the canopy of trees. After the last houses in the town of Ivanje in the north, a branch on a narrow path leads steeply down towards the coast. You pass a game reserve and follow the path surrounded by a fantastic fairytale forest. From the branch, it goes steeply uphill again, at a junction with a farm you continue to the abandoned village of Niska. It is worth exploring the ruins, which are partially overgrown with trees and bushes. The last section of the route leads over a plateau through a rocky landscape with only a few trees and bushes and offers fantastic views. The tour ends at the 100. The narrow tarmac road takes you to the small towns on the island. Walks along the harbor and through the old town or hikes in the lush vegetation of the island round off the tour.

A sign in Sveti Petar, where the track starts, states that motorcycles are prohibited.
We didn't drive down the side road to the sea, since it looked very private around the last few houses and we didn't want to draw unwanted attention. Overall, a very beautiful route and easy to drive. Niska is definitely worth a photo stop.
