It’s actually a nice route with beautiful views. Unfortunately, right after the turnoff back to the coastal road in Gornja Podstrana, there’s a sudden, unmarked construction zone, making it impossible to continue downhill and forcing you to turn back.

On the southern slope of the Mosor
Parallel to the coastline, this 8 km long scenic route leads south of Split over a hillside stretch from Sveti Martin to Storbrec. You can experience fantastic views along the entire route in beautiful Dalmatia.
The coastal town of Sveti Martin serves as the starting point for this tour. From the coastal road, you first go through the town through the narrow streets, uphill past houses. You follow a few bends further uphill. There are many properties and villas in a wonderful hillside location. The narrow tarmac road is bordered by individual deciduous trees. After the church of St. Ante, you turn off onto a very narrow, slightly gravelled track. From a small chapel on the route, a beautiful viewing terrace with wooden benches offers an impressive view of the coast, the sea and the rugged, rocky landscape. There are other beautifully built churches in the area and white wooden crosses characterize the landscape; a pilgrimage route runs here. You continue along the track along the slope. The second part of the tour goes downhill until you reach the first houses of Stobrec. After the tour, it is worth ending the day in the beautiful old town. The picturesque harbor is located on a headland and the beautiful promenade is perfect for strolling.
