I drove the route yesterday. It was open! The route is fun to drive. It’s not too difficult, but it’s especially beautiful because of the views. I would definitely recommend driving it in a 4x4. I’d describe the route as easy to moderate.

Biokovo panoramic track
The 13 km long, fantastic panoramic tour leads through the impressive mountains in the hinterland of the Dalmatian coast. Fantastic views over colorful flower meadows and the Adriatic Sea await you.
The starting point of the tour is the tourist center of Makarska. At Veliko Brdo, after a narrow tarmac road that winds past the houses, the gravel road begins. A beautiful church and a picnic area are right on the way. The first section is full of bends uphill. There are many hiking trails in the area. After the bends, you drive straight along the slope. Breathtaking views of the beautiful bays of the island of Brac and the silhouettes of other small Croatian islands characterize this section of the route. In the last section, you drive through a forest. It goes slightly downhill past vineyards, towards Bast. This is where the tour ends. From the village you can quickly get back to the coast or go on a hike to explore other peaks in the beautiful surroundings.

A follow-up to my comment from yesterday. We walked the route today. The trail is in great condition; the trees and bushes along the sides have been trimmed. It would be very rideable.
Alternatively, there’s a parallel route about 100Hm lower down with no “No Entry” signs.
We also came to a gate that was open, but there was a no-entry sign for all types of vehicles combined with a blue pedestrian sign. We turned around again.
It looks like it could have been a lovely trail, but there was a barrier after about 2 km. I tried a different trail to connect to it, but there was another barrier toward the end.
Great route, with many viewpoints worth seeing, some hairpin bends with lots of fine gravel a little more difficult to ride, caution advised, route highly recommended.
