Along the railway
This fabulously 22 km long route leads through the beautiful nature of Dalmatia. Following a railway line, alternating uphill and downhill, past small, typical settlements.
The starting point of the tour is in the valley. Opposite a wind farm, you turn off the D1 to Padene. After the village, you drive past small, rustic stone houses and along walls, right next to the railway line. The road turns into a firm gravel track. The beautiful route leads up and down through a forest with spruce trees. You cross the railroad tracks several times and reach an impressive railway bridge with large brick arches, a highlight of the route. The next section is an asphalted section with gravel on the road. Shortly afterwards, there is another gravel track, with the railway line still next to it. The track leads straight ahead on a level surface in the last part and joins the D1 again at Otric. After the tour, you can follow the hiking trails along the Zrmanja over small stone and wooden bridges and reach a breathtaking waterfall in the landscape criss-crossed by river arms.
