Passo della Pianella - CLOSED

The perfect base for this 11 km tour is Folgaria. The town in the Trentino-Alto Adige region is one of the oldest and was founded in the 13th century. From here, take the SP 143 southwards, past countless chairlifts and over the Passo Coe (1610m).

Behind Lago Coe at GPS 45.871188, 11.232393 is the start of this tour on the right. It goes downhill, the first section still parallel to the SP 143/SP 92. During the ride, you pass some alpine huts and after a short section through the forest, it goes partly uphill into the Pianessa tunnel. Here the surface becomes rougher and the route continues along a steep rock face to the Passo della Pianella (1380 meters).

The next few kilometers lead downhill through the forest on a well-maintained gravel road, interrupted by short sections of tarmac. For a short break, we recommend a detour to the Malga Zolle di dentro mountain hut at GPS 45.850509, 11.301558. Back on the route, continue the last few kilometers downhill to Malga Zolle di fuori at an altitude of 1160m.
