Broncon south ramp
The Passo del Broncon in Trentino is the starting point for the approx. 22 km long tour along the southern ramp down to Lamon. Most of the tour leads through dense forest. The gravel section is particularly challenging in the upper part.
Just after the Albergo Passo Brocon on the right, you leave the SP79. The narrow gravel road quickly leads downhill into the forest. The gravel becomes rougher as you progress and you should watch out for roots and grooves. From GPS 46.096294, 11.684479, the fun begins with many hairpin bends and serpentines. Just behind it is the Grotta di Castello Tesino, which can be reached after a short walk. To visit the grotto, you must book a guide in advance, otherwise you will find yourself standing in front of a closed door. The route continues downhill and the slope widens.
You reach San Donato via the scattered settlement of Valnuvola. This is where the tarred road begins, which is partly secured by crash barriers. The tour ends in Lamon in the Veneto region. Here, it is worth taking a stroll through the picturesque alleyways of the historic town center with its old churches and palaces.
