The small town of Bindua is located on the SS 126 road, not far from the former San Giovanni mine. Like many surrounding villages, Bindua was also home to the workers of the silver mine, which was active in Roman and Punic times. It was closed in 1999 and has since been used as a cultural monument for tourism. Unlike the mine, however, Bindua is still alive today. And not badly at all. A little handicraft, a little agriculture, a little tourism provide the livelihood of the approximately 400 inhabitants.

Off-roaders probably also contribute to the Binduisi's livelihood. At least when they stop off in Bindua or shop on their way to the track that leads to Lago Corsi. The track itself is easy to drive and is a decent alternative to the state road that also leads to Lago Corsi. About three kilometers behind the town, the track branches off to the left and curves along the mountainside, steadily gaining altitude. Wide and covered with medium-sized gravel, it does not require any special skills in terms of driving. It reaches its highest point at 372 metres above sea level and then heads downhill towards the reservoir. At the shore road, the gravel surface ends and the asphalt begins.
