Located at an altitude of 573 meters in the Monti di Alà, the abandoned mountain village of Tandalò reflects a mystical place that does not leave visitors untouched. Founded in the 14th century and abandoned by its last inhabitants in 1974, Tandalò is today a kind of lost paradise. Without a paved access road, electricity, telephone and running water, the once idyllic place, removed from the hectic world, could not survive our modern times. It is still a paradise, but unfortunately a lost one. All the more wonderful that it still exists and that we can reach it "off the road". And this in an exciting way.

The tour starts in Buddosò. And comes straight to the point. A rough gravel track circles steeply and rough up the mountain. The fact that it offers beautiful views of the peaks of the Gennargentu is a good thing. Once it reaches a plateau, it is a little friendlier for a while, before attacking again. It does this by means of sharp ascents and descents.
At Tandalò, the route crosses a section of a rally track that is often used for the Italian and World Championships. Then it's all about action up here. Continue on moderate gravel. After an easy intermediate section, there is another jagged steep section before it's a relaxed descent to Alà dei Sardi.
