An access staircase and a podium decorated with columns are the most important remains of the Temple of Antas. The sanctuary, built from limestone near Iglesias, is nestled in a picturesque valley in the Fluminimaggiore area. Its surrounding sacred area, which was only built long after the temple, sinks into a meadow covered with white daisies in spring. After the Carthaginian (ca. 500 BC) and Punic-Hellenistic (300 BC) periods, in which the temple was already of great importance, it experienced its greatest period of prosperity in the Roman era. The inscription of the Emperor Caracalla in the pediment of the temple dates back to this.

An easy off-road track that starts on the SS 126 about four kilometers south of Fluminimaggiore takes us not only to the Temple of Antas, but also to the Arenas mine complex. Wide road, good gravel surface, slight differences in elevation - after all, not so long ago, the trucks of the Arenas mining company drove along these routes. After about three kilometers, the temple appears on the left, and six kilometers later the extensive mining complex, where, among other things, the workers' houses can be visited. The track ends about four kilometers before Domusnovas, where a small asphalt road begins.
