Capo Mannu
Capo Mannu is located in the far north of the Sinis peninsula. Up there, the Mistral blows so strongly that the sea builds up to four to five meter high waves. This is something that surfers, windsurfers and kiteboarders naturally like. That's why they meet regularly several times a year at Capo Mannu for international competitions. The most important of these is the "Capo di Capo", the head of the cape.
The yellowish limestone cliffs, up to 50 meters high, are characteristic. A scenic footpath leads from the watchtower at Punta Mora above the cliffs to its counterpart at Capo Mannu. The path is part of the 100 Towers hiking trail. Directly on the cape and further south, around a dozen beaches await bathers. The two watchtowers and the cape's lighthouse can be experienced on a gravel tour that should not be underestimated.
It begins just before Mandriola on the SP 10 and leads clockwise around the cape. First it skirts the tower of Punta Mora, then the lighthouse and finally the Torre di Capo Mannu. Deep furrows and gullies appearing again and again along the way ensure that this track is quite challenging. From the Torre di Capo Mannu it then leads relatively easily back to Mandriola.
