On the border between France and Italy in Piedmont, you will find this hairpin bend rich 8 km long route that leads from Sant ́Anna di Vinadio on the SP 255 to the Col de la Lombarde. Before setting off, it is worth visiting the Santuario Sant'Anna di Vinadio, one of the highest sanctuaries in Europe. A very impressive and well-kept place with a beautiful chapel. The gravel road begins at the SP 255. It first leads past a ruin, through the beautiful landscape uphill. At a small junction to the right of the track, you reach an old typical stone house. From here you have a wonderful view of the lightly wooded mountain. In the course of the route, the track becomes more and more rocky and leads steadily uphill over many hairpin bends. In the last section, you pass two houses and reach the end point on a tarmac road. The Col de la Lombarde is exactly on the border between Italy and France. A beautiful panoramic view awaits you at the end of this tour.slopes.
