We hiked up to the Jaufferau via Forte Föens. A fantastic hike to Monte Jafferau. Everything went smoothly, though the trail was very dusty. The last 100 meters to the fort are lined with stone slabs and steps.
Monte Jaffereau | Galleria del Seguret
This tour takes you through the famous Seguret Tunnel, and there are also a number of interesting forts along the way. It starts at Fort Fenils near Salberstrand on the SS 24.
A small tarred road leads from Fort Fenils to the village of Moncellier. The track begins behind the houses and the chapel and initially leads slightly uphill on gravel. At many points along the hairpin bends, you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley and the forests. The stony path with a few bumps and washouts is bordered by stone walls. After the bridge over the Rio Secco river, you pass through a small tunnel. The heavily gravelled, single-track path leads steeply uphill again to Fort Pramand. There is a magnificent view of the Susa Valley from the roof of the fortress. The road continues uphill to the famous Seguret tunnel between Monte Pramand and Monte Jafferau (only accessible on Wednesdays and Saturdays, not on public holidays). Crossing the 1 km long, completely dark tunnel is quite adventurous. On the other side of the tunnel are the ruins of Fort al Seguret. This tour ends a little further on. You can continue to Fort Foens or Fort Jafferau. belohnt.

Conditions, closures and tips — from members who drove here recently.
Directly from Bardonecchia, via Fort Foens, straight up to Mt. Fafferau. If there is oncoming traffic, you should be able to reverse well! The Offroad Atlas 26 lists a maximum elevation of 2,310 m—that is surely a printing error. The Jafferau Plateau is drivable up to about 2,800 m. Highly recommended!
