We drove the route from Valcasotto, the first third of the route was passable. The rest was not passable. The path was completely overgrown, overgrown and you could see that no one had driven through there for a long time. The end of the route was blocked by a metal barrier

Castello Reale di Casotto
Between Colla di Casotto and the village of Pamparato on the SP 178, this 8 km route features a challenging ascent through the majestic mountain landscape near the coastal town of Albenga.
The single-lane gravel track branches off from the SP 178 and immediately opens onto a large clearing. The route continues through a forested section, where a steep, winding climb begins. The surface here is marked by loose rocks and erosion. After another clearing, the path transitions to gravel, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Passing a ruin, the route descends through a series of switchbacks, passing meadows and pastures. The now dusty track continues downhill in a zigzag pattern before reconnecting with the SP 178, marking the end of the route.
After the tour, a detour to the nearby Castello Reale di Casotto is highly recommended. This restored and architecturally fascinating castle features a royal chapel and is a historically significant and impressive site to visit.
