This 15 km panoramic route lies in the Ligurian hinterland. Close to the coast, it traverses one of the most beautiful areas of the region, climbing through partially forested mountain landscapes on rocky paths.

The tour starts in the village of Menosio, located on the SP35, and ends in the valley town of Conscente on the SP14.
From Bezzo, turn left towards Chiesa onto the SP35, heading to Menosio. At the village entrance, turn right onto Via Poggi, which ascends steeply. After about 300 meters on paved road, the gravel track begins.
The first part of the route climbs up a slightly rocky field path with several switchbacks, offering beautiful views of the coastal villages. At the crossroads, keep right and head into the first detour to the abandoned fortress Forte Rocca Liverna. From the ruins, the panoramic view of the mountains and the sea is well worth the stop.

From this viewpoint, return along the path, climbing steeply on a rougher section to a second detour leading up to a rocky plateau between two peaks. Here, breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks of the Ligurian Alps await.
The final section descends back into the valley through a forested area. The bumpy and winding gravel road is secured with a small retaining wall. At the end of the tour, a relaxing finish in the coastal town of Albenga is highly recommended, with lovely restaurants by the sea or at the mouth of the Centa River.

Conditions, closures and tips — from members who drove here recently.

Started from Val Pennavaire. Turned back after the second hairpin bend. The road is extremely overgrown, even for a Defender or a small 4x4. In some places, there's virtually no path or opening left... One bend (between two small walls) was very tight for an L2 Sprinter—just so you know, an L3 wouldn’t make it through. The part of the road we did manage to drive is rocky and fun to drive, with the occasional deep ruts.
