Lago Schener
The 20 km long tour starts and ends at a beautiful reservoir in Trentino on the border with Veneto. Located between the towns of Mezzano and Fonzaso on the SR 50, it goes up into the beautiful mountains.
At the lower end of the lake, the gravel road begins. At first, the path winds uphill over many hairpin bends along striking rock faces and slopes until you reach a clearing. After a section with deciduous forest and a small Madonna statue along the way, there are worthwhile stops for a wonderful view of the glittering reservoir. On a plateau in an enchanting location with a beautiful panoramic view, the spur ends at the Refugio Vederna. From here there are no other passable paths. However, you can take relaxed hikes across mountain meadows and through forests. As an example of the Croce degli Alpini, with its imposing summit cross and platform. From which you can enjoy the view of the Primiero Valley in the tranquility of nature. After the return journey along the same route, a rest at the beautiful lake with picnic areas and swimming opportunities in the turquoise blue water is a good idea.
