One of the most beautiful mountain groups in Friuli is constantly in view on this 20 km tour. Through the alpine mountains with beautiful forest, it is winding over sometimes steep sections. On the SS 13 at Pietratagliata you cross the wild river Fella. Up into the forest it first goes through many narrow serpentines on a narrow tarred road. It is partly bordered on the slope by walls and iron railings. You cross a small tunnel and can experience beautiful views of the surrounding peaks through the sparse forest. In a clearing lies the beautiful Malga Poccet with good local cuisine. From here, follow the gravel path, which is provided with a sward, and go downhill again. On the slope there is a simple shelter with a fireplace and picnic area, as well as a natural water source. In this fantastic setting, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Monatsch massif in the tranquility of nature.

Closure or obstruction

Right behind the cabin, just before the sign warning that you drive at your own risk, the road is still completely covered in snow. We had to turn back.
