Starting from the wild Durance River near Mont Dauphin, this 32 km tour takes you into pristine nature, offering views of impressive peaks and the lush valleys of the Alpine landscape.

From Mont Dauphin on N 94, take D 37 to D 38, where the starting point of the gravel track is located. On a flat section, you’ll drive through deep gravel stretches and across water channels as you ascend. The path becomes winding, continuing uphill. Upon reaching a plateau, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the river. After a stretch of asphalt, pass through Truchet and Mikeou, then follow another gravel section. A rewarding detour takes you through sharp bends and a forest, with a small stream and a picnic bench directly along the path. The plateau at the end of this detour, with the L’Alp Hut, offers a magnificent panoramic view. Returning from the detour, cross a shallow ford and enter a beautiful forest area. The track then winds downhill and merges into an asphalt road, which leads back to D 38. After the tour, a side trip to the small Lac de Saint Crepin is recommended. The lake, located near the village of the same name, is perfect for a refreshing dip. Alternatively, you can visit the historic fortress Village Fortifié de Mont Dauphin.
