Col de Anon
Restriction: Weight limit of max. 6t!
This splendid 19 km tour leads to Col d'Anon, offering a fantastic Alpine panorama with views of valleys, gorges, and rivers throughout the entire route.
At Les Vigneaux, cross the Gyronde River on D 994 E, and continue along D 4 to the starting point of the gravel path. Initially, you’ll drive alongside fields before winding uphill through a pine forest in hairpin turns. Near Prey D Amont, you’ll find a spring. The vast forest area and the striking peaks surrounding the area offer a breathtaking mountain panorama. After clearing the forest, you’ll reach a picnic area. Then, a gently gravelled section follows, descending through sharp turns and passing several houses. After a short paved stretch parallel to the Le Fournel River, you’ll take a side route. The well-maintained gravel track ascends through the forest in hairpin turns to Col d'Anon. A lovely wooden bench and a hidden lake provide a resting spot in a prime location with panoramic views. After returning from the side route, follow a narrow paved road downhill towards L'Argentiere la Bessée, connecting to N 94. The Fournel Gorge and the Le Fournel River are perfect for hiking.
