Just past the Berner Land campground—well before Wittwien—there is a sign indicating that the forest road is closed. The access road to Wittwien—"Wittwiener Weg"—was also restricted to residents only when coming from Rheinberg, which is why we did not complete the tour due to the no-entry signs.
Great route through the woods. Be sure to stop by the old nuclear power plant!
Beautiful trails through mixed woodland. The route is also very interesting thanks to the Rheinsberg nuclear power plant. A detour to the train station is definitely worth it!
