The Col du Lindar, nestled in the Bauges mountain range between the Pointe de la Galoppaz to the west and Mont Charvet to the east, is accessible via the northeastern village of La Correrie.

The approach route passes through Le Penon and primarily consists of an asphalt road. Only about 2 kilometers before the summit of the pass does the asphalt give way to a well-maintained forest road categorized as SG 2-3.
On the southwest side of the pass, the route toward Col de Marocaz presents greater challenges. The forest and gravel road begins with a steep incline, larger rocks, and several marshy sections but soon transitions into a more manageable gravel track. From the summit of the Col de Marocaz, a winding and steep descent leads toward Cruet, where the road is paved once again.
