Current club members own Jeeps ranging from stock to extreme modifications. Kentucky Lake Jeep Club members will participate in efforts to provide aid to community members in need. We will participate via donations and presence in charitable organizations.

We take part in social events, Jeep shows, trail rides, parades, and camp outs. We, an environmentally sensitive group, will also work to educate our members on the importance of preserving state and federal lands for public use.

 <title>Bonnet Carre Spillway</title>
 <link>http://www.offroadatlas.com/bonnet-carre-spillway</link>
<description>Over the years, the Bonnet Carré Spillway has developed into an extensively used outdoor recreation area with approximately 250,000 visitors enjoying the spillway each year. The public is allowed access provided their activities do not interfere with the operation and maintenance of the project. These lands and waters provide opportunities for fishing, crawfishing, hunting, dog training, camping and wildlife watching. More specialized activities include ATV and motorcycle riding areas, retriever dog field trials and model airplane flying competitions. The spillway contains two boat launching sites and a primitive campground provided by St. Charles Parish. A Park Ranger staff is on-site to provide visitor assistance and manage the project&amp;#039;s natural resources. The project office is located on the Mississippi River in Norco, Louisiana.

The Bonnet Carre Spillway is a vital element of the flood control plan which has been designed to secure the Lower Valley of Louisiana. As such, this spillway protects New Orleans and other levy communities when floods occur. Explore the surrounding area for a glimpse into Louisiana’s natural beauty, and then visit the spillway to see how man has coped with the forces of nature.

 <title>Jordan Creek OHV Staging Area</title>
 <link>http://www.offroadatlas.com/jordan-creek-ohv-staging-area</link>
<description>The Jordan Creek area is characterized by steep, rocky mountains (1500-2700&amp;#039;) covered with 30 to 50 year Douglas-fir planted after the Tillamook Burn. The canyons and stream bottoms are covered with alder, maple, and cascara and cut by swift rocky streams. The rainfall average is 90-120&amp;quot; per year and winter riding is strongly discouraged. The trails are difficult and may be steep, narrow, rocky and rutted. This riding area is not suitable for beginning or novice riders. OHV recreationists need to expect log trucks and logging activity at any time. All trail bikes and ATVs must have a valid ATV sticker and a USFS approved spark arrester. </description>
