Description
Located in the San Juan Mountains, Poughkeepsie Gulch is known as one of the most scenic and difficult off-road trails in the Ouray area. Rock outcroppings are common throughout the trail and loose shale provides a challenge for off-roaders when wet. The trail's high difficulty rating is mostly due to a challenging rock wall near the halfway point of the trail.
