We arrived in front of the barrier on a closed Tuesday evening. There is a nice picnic area in front of the barrier right by the stream, where many off-roaders have gathered to spend the night in their 4x4s. Tip: Information from the friendly cashier. If you pass the ticket booth before 8.30 in the morning, you don't have to pay anything. After that it is 8 € Some portals state that the track is only closed on Thursdays. However, it is in fact Tuesday and Thursday as described here

The first section leads up a steep slope to a wide piste with great views. In the ski area, the going gets tough, with a long and steep climb up the slope over loose scree in places. At the top of the plateau, the path is washed away in some places, but there are bypass options via the meadow or alternative slopes. The upper part of the descent is also very steep and rocky. Off-road vehicles without ground clearance and no gear reduction should avoid this slope.

This route is by no means easy. It contains some steep and rocky sections, including places with deep washouts and mud holes. Enduro experience is definitely required here. Due to the many wash-outs and gullies, 4 × 4 vehicles definitely need a good amount of ground clearance and articulation. Very overgrown in places, therefore not recommended with larger campers!
